About Us
Quality Fabrication of Indiana (QFI), Inc. is a veteran owned business established in 1994. QFI started as a regional repair source for Chrysler Corporation’s steel shipping containers. After the financial crisis of 2009, we expanded our operation to include powder coating, steel sales, manufacturing horse stalls and welding gas cylinder exchange. For 30 years we have maintained our relationship with Chrysler Corporation (now known as Stellantis), as well as establishing new relationships.
We powder coat tens of thousands of parts each year for several local businesses, however, our services are not limited to those businesses. We will powder coat anything metal for anyone, usually within a week. Our specialized racking system allows us to powder large quantities of small parts or smaller quantities large parts with our state-of-the-art Gen 5 Gema® powder system and 10’w x8’h x 12’d Wisconsin oven.
Our steel sales range from a farmer needing 2 feet of angle iron to someone needing a trailer load. No order is too big or too small. We stock a wide variety of structural steel. Flat, angle, square tube, solid round, sheet, plate, tread plate, and expanded metal are always available. If we don’t have what you need, we can normally get it in a day or two. Our prices are always competitive.
In 2012, QFI in collaboration with the Henry County Saddle Club (HCSC) and several local horse trainers, developed a durable portable horse stall. As a result, we were awarded a project to manufacture and install 76 stalls in the Saddle Club’s new barn. Since then, we have manufactured and installed over 250 stalls in east central Indiana and western Ohio.
As a frequent user of industrial gasses, it only made sense for QFI to become a Linde Gas & Equipment (formally known as Praxair) depot. Many of our current customers had to travel several miles away to exchange their industrial gas tanks. Our depot stocks most sizes of oxygen, acetylene, argon (C25 and tri-mix), nitrogen, CO2, and LP33 tanks.
